Breaking the Digital Divide in Rural Africa
Summary. Telecentres reduce the digital divide between urban and rural areas in developing countries. When properly organized and functional, with adequate awareness campaigns, telecentres enable rural populations to access digital services and information. The paper examines how these community technology hubs bridge connectivity gaps and support rural development in Africa.
