Bridging the Digital Divide: Unraveling the Determinants of FinTech Adoption in Rural Communities
Summary. Rural residents' adoption of financial technology depends on four key factors: perceiving the technology as useful and easy to use, plus awareness of both innovations and financial concepts. The study surveyed 386 rural residents and found that perceived usefulness acts as a bridge between ease of use and actual adoption intent. These findings suggest practical strategies for expanding financial inclusion in rural communities through FinTech.
