Summary. Young rural entrepreneurs in Brazil identify economic constraints as the primary barrier to investing in family farms, cited in 34% of cases. Workforce shortages and low qualification rank second at 12.6%, while unfavorable producer prices account for 7.6%. The study surveyed 98 young entrepreneurs at a rural youth sustainability event in Santa Catarina, combining qualitative and quantitative analysis to reveal the practical challenges facing the next generation of family farm operators.
