Summary. A survey of 12,428 rural residents in Poland, Sweden, and France reveals that while environmental awareness is high, significant barriers block renewable energy adoption. The study identifies targeted education, financial incentives, and infrastructure investment as essential to overcoming these barriers and accelerating the energy transition.
