Planning and Policy of Renewable Energy Utilization in a Rural Economic Development Zone
Summary. Renewable energy development addresses energy shortages and pollution in rural areas. This study develops methods to estimate rural renewable energy resources and generating capacity, using a development zone in Hebei Province as a case study. A multi-source renewable energy system could generate 357.22 million kWh annually while providing environmental and social benefits. The authors recommend government policies across finance, infrastructure, land use, investment, and incentives to support implementation.
